An n8n workflow that turns a keyword into a list of active YouTube channels in the right size range, with their published contact links, in Google Sheets.
Finding the right YouTube channels to work with takes hours: searching a niche, opening channel after channel, checking audience size and whether they still post, then copying contact details into a spreadsheet. We wanted that research done automatically, with only channels that fit the criteria reaching the list.
We built an n8n workflow that starts from a simple form: enter a keyword and it searches YouTube through the official YouTube Data API. It pulls each channel's statistics and description, keeps only channels inside the chosen subscriber range, and checks the date of the latest upload so inactive channels are dropped. JavaScript steps collect the email and social links that each channel publishes in its description and on its public About page (website, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn). Qualified channels are saved to Google Sheets and matched by channel, so nothing is duplicated. An advanced version lets the user pick the subscriber range and the "posted within" window on the form for each run.
